Meet The Team

 

Dr. Michael Ryan

Dr. Ryan was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and moved to Dallas at the age of 9. He completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University in College Station in 2000, which is where he met his wife Laura. In school, Dr. Ryan was a competitive swimmer, and still enjoys trying to stay in shape in the pool. He also enjoys hiking and snow skiing. His honeymoon was actually a mountain biking and white water rafting trip in Durango, Colorado.

Dr. Ryan and his wife both earned dental degrees from Baylor College of Dentistry. Most recently, he completed a 3-year dental specialty certificate program in Prosthodontics and is currently finishing a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Baylor College of Dentistry. He and Laura have a son, Cooper, and are looking forward to expanding their family.

Dr. Ryan’s specialty training in Prosthodontics primarily focused on the esthetic reconstruction and replacement of teeth in complex cases, using fixed and removable appliances in conjunction with dental implants. Additional training involved treatment of jaw joint problems and sleep apnea. This program also included rotations at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the Universities of Geneva and Bern in Switzerland.

 

Lisa, Front Desk Coordinator

With Reisman Dental Group since 1995, Lisa appreciates our caring team and the dedication to patients. Whether it is you first visit or you are an established patient, Lisa is here to assist you with any questions or concerns you might have in regards to scheduling, payments, or your financial needs.

 Lisa enjoys hiking, camping, and just being outdoors. During vacations Lisa likes to visit the national and state parks with her husband, Wendell, and the dogs that have replaced her grown children.

 

JoDe, Dental Hygienist

For the past 15 years, JoDe has helped Reisman Dental Group patients achieve optimal oral health through regular flossing and effective brushing. Her patients who don’t floss have a serious guilt complex, so she knows her efforts are not in vain. JoDe earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of New Mexico. She thoroughly enjoys our patients, as well as our team.

JoDe is a mother of a house full of energetic boys who are crafty, trouble finding bundles of joy. She and her husband own a mixed martial arts studio in Frisco and keep busy with karate, soccer, and baseball, as well as many other outdoor activities.

 

Kandi, Dental Hygienist

Upon graduation from Tyler Junior College dental hygiene program in 1994, Kandi and her husband, Chris, moved to the Dallas area. After 16 years, this had definitely become home. Kandi provides quality care with a gentle touch to our treasured patients. She also advanced her dental education through training and seminars.

Kandi and Chris have one teenage daughter, Audrey. Away from the office, Kandi volunteers at Audrey’s school, cheers for her at gymnastics meets, and takes lots of photos for the family scrapbook.

 

Sheri, Dental Assistant

Sheri has been with Reisman Dental Group for more than a decade, 13 years to be exact. Sheri has over 25 years dental experience and continues to stay up with the latest advances in technology. Her goal is to always give the patients the highest quality of care and a great experience in our office.

Outside of work, Sheri enjoys designing jewelry and one-of-a-kind home décor pieces for art shows in the Texas region. Her love for travel continues to take her to new places and she loves to bring home fresh ideas to implement in her new home.

 

Amy, Dental Assistant

Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Amy is new to the Reisman Dental Group. Amy has 13 years of experience as a registered dental assistant and front office staff. She likes to keep abreast of the latest technology. Amy is committed to assisting and supporting her patients and our doctors. She enjoys helping her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental visits.

After hours Amy enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking at state parks all over Texas. Amy is a Cub Scout den leader of 5 years, board member on her Homeowners Association, active PTA member, and volunteers at her son’s elementary school in her spare time.

Amy has been married 11 years to her husband, Phil. They have a 10-year-old son, Tanner, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a guinea pig.

 

Amber, Dental Hygienist

A native Texan, Amber graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene. She pursues the latest in dental hygiene by attending many continuing education courses each year. Amber loves working with patients, and in her 8 years with Reisman Dental Group, she has helped many people improve and maintain their oral health. Her gentle touch and caring nature help our patients feel comfortable and confident in their periodontal care.

She and her husband, Jeff, have a son and a daughter. Spending time with her family and friends, and vacations on the slopes, keep Amber busy away from the office.
